NITROX DIVING

NITROX DIVING at Dive4Life

Because the safety of our guests and employees is our top priority, we offer NITROX as a breathing gas in addition to diving with compressed air. Our modern membrane system fills Nitrox up to EAN36 – safely, cleanly, and using the latest technology. Our standard mixture, EAN32, is therefore always available in sufficient quantities. Greater safety with EANITROX Due to the increased oxygen content, less nitrogen is absorbed into the body tissues compared to the same dive with breathing air. This reduces the risk of decompression. Other advantages, such as less fatigue after diving, make Nitrox a sensible alternative. Due to the maximum depth of our pool of 20 m, oxygen poisoning with an EAN32 can be ruled out. With our maximum cylinder size of 10 l/200 bar, CNS and OTU problems also pose no risk.

Important information for certified Nitrox divers:

  • Important note: Other regulator threads?

Yes, a brief explanation. In many EU countries, any breathing gas that has a higher oxygen content than air must be treated like pure oxygen. Therefore, our Nitrox cylinders have special threads (M26x2), as this is mandatory for pure oxygen. A normal air regulator will not fit our Nitrox cylinders. Furthermore, Nitrox regulators must be specially cleaned, free of grease, and fitted with Viton O-rings. You can either rent a Nitrox regulator from us (€7 per day) or bring your own oxygen-compliant regulator. Please note that the use of adapters is only permitted if both the regulator and adapter are approved.

  • Who is allowed to dive with NITROX?

All guests who have a Nitrox certification from an internationally recognized diving association (iac/CMAS/SSI/PADI/VDST/NAUI/etc.).

  • How do I book Nitrox and how much does it cost?

You can choose whether you want to dive with air or nitrox in the booking system. Nitrox costs €2 per day, and you can use as many nitrox tanks as you like.

  • Is there an analyzer on site?

Yes, NRC analyzers are available at the dive center so you can analyze your Nitrox mixture before your dives.
