Here we provide you with comprehensive information about the dive4life indoor diving center. This will help you prepare optimally for your visit. You will also receive all the information as a PDF file via email with your booking. We are, of course, happy to answer any questions you may have!

Your visit to the dive4life indoor diving center
The D4L backpack As a little reminder, we have prepared a packing list for you with the most important things that you shouldn't forget:
Diving license (at least OWD or equivalent)

Shatter-proof drinking vessel for coffee and water (no disposable cups provided)
1€ coin as deposit for valuables locker Note: Nitrox bottles have an M26x2 connection (oxygen thread) No cash payments possible Your visit to the Dive4life indoor dive center Book a time slot via our online reservation Arriving at the dive center You can load and unload your equipment in the loading area in front of the entrance. Afterwards, use one of the three parking spaces and place the completed parking ticket clearly visible behind the windshield (you can download the parking ticket using the link you receive when booking). Parking with mobile homes and camping in the parking spaces is not permitted. As this is a private parking lot belonging to the city of Siegburg, the operator's house rules apply. Please note that the equipment must be brought up the stairs to the dive center. Therefore, pack your equipment so that you can easily carry it up the stairs. The elevator in the hotel is only available for people with disabilities (after prior consultation via email to office@dive4life.de). Check-in We ask all participants to have the following items ready for a smooth check-in:
Name of the booking
Diving certificate / brevet (at least OWD or equivalent / at least Freediver* or equivalent)
Diving fitness (18-39 years - valid for 3 years /< 18 Jahre und > 40 years - valid for 1 year unless otherwise stated) or medical self-disclosure >DOWNLOAD
Amount of lead in kilograms (We use 1kg or 2kg soft lead pieces/pocket weight belts can be borrowed / freediving lead for apneas) The group check-in for diving schools/diving instructors is carried out by the diving instructor. They present the TL certificate, TTU and the desired amount of lead and are responsible for their group. Payment is made in advance by the diving instructor. Important information: Your stay in the dive center begins and ends at the start of the booked time slot. Please plan your dives accordingly. Minors are only allowed to dive and stay in the dive center if accompanied by an adult. First aid Our friendly staff will be happy to help you with a plaster or other equipment at any time. If something more serious should happen, we have a first aid room, a defibrillator and various systems for administering oxygen in the event of a diving accident. Rental equipment will be packed for you in advance and handed over to you at check-in. Only at check-out do you return all the rental equipment to the check-in desk, where a member of staff will take it back and check it off. If you specified the wrong size when booking or need more or fewer pieces, you can change this at check-in, subject to availability. We are happy to provide you with transport boxes for your equipment. However, you are also welcome to bring your own boxes. Payment methods Tickets and rental equipment are paid for online directly at the time of booking. However, if you do need to pay for something (e.g. additional rental equipment), you can only do so cashlessly using an EC/Mastercard or Visa card. Please also bring some change for the locker (1€ coin) or the coffee machine. Ticket cancellation If something comes up or you are not "diving fit," you can cancel your tickets yourself (even individually). Unfortunately, we have to charge a moderate cancellation fee for this: Up to 1 week before the visit: 95% refund Up to 3 days before the visit: 90% refund Up to 1 day before the visit: 80% refund Up to the booked date: 75% refund The refund will be made automatically in real time to the selected payment method. You are welcome to use your own equipment provided it is clean, cared for and maintained and meets general safety standards. Cylinders and weights are available to all guests free of charge and you do not need to bring them with you. We are also happy to fill your own cylinder provided it has passed the recurring inspection for compressed gas cylinders by a ZÜS. If you visit us on consecutive days, you are welcome to store your equipment overnight in transport boxes by the dive pool and hang your suits up to dry. Please note that we cannot accept liability for equipment stored with us. The wetsuits we rent have a neoprene thickness of 5mm. At a water temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, this is more than sufficient for most divers. Those with a particularly cold head have the option of renting a hooded vest for an additional €4. However, after several repeat dives, some may find it a bit chilly. We therefore recommend packing a little more skin. True to the motto "Only the tough ones get into the garden," we often see intrepid divers wearing shorties, but we strongly advise against it. Changing rooms and restroom facilities are available to all divers. There are shared changing rooms, showers, and toilets for both men and women. You can store your valuables in lockers; these operate with a €1 deposit. Cleaning equipment can be rinsed under the showers if necessary. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and food. For your safety, no glass bottles, glasses, porcelain, or ceramic cups are permitted (only shatterproof dishes!). Our water dispenser offers free still or sparkling water; the coffee machine operates for a fee of €1.50. In order to reduce the enormous amount of plastic waste, we no longer offer disposable cups. Please bring your own, or alternatively, we offer our popular Dive4Life enamel cups for €4. You can purchase food from the hotel or outdoor pool restaurants and consume it with us. You can spend your surface interval relaxing at our group tables and, in summer, at the dive4life Beach, writing and stamping your logbook. Consuming food and drinks is, of course, permitted here. In summer, you can enjoy the fresh air on the outdoor pool lawn, which is accessible via our outside stairs. Smokers are also welcome to use this area. Hotel guests have the added convenience of being able to walk the short distance from their diving room to our indoor dive center in just their bathrobe. They can drop off their equipment at the dive center the day before and store or dry it overnight. During breaks between dives, hotel guests can enjoy all the amenities of the hotel. For example, they can go out to eat, swim, or take a decongestant nap in their hotel room. Hotel guests can use the sauna and swimming pool free of charge. NOTES: -Sporting activities and saunas are not recommended after diving. - The hotel restaurant is open Friday - Sunday or for groups on request. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance on Zeithstraße and you can order delivery to the center. Buddy team Diving in the indoor dive center is also done in buddy teams. Follow the usual buddy rules and look out for your fellow divers so you can enjoy an unforgettable stay with us. If you would like to visit us without a diving partner, you can register in advance for a guided or buddy dive. Swimming pool / sauna / wellness The Oktopus swimming pool, the friendly cityhotel Oktopus and Dive4Life offer a variety of relaxation options and attract numerous visitors every year. In addition to a spacious sauna and swimming pool area, other wellness offerings await you. Entry to the indoor dive center does not include access to the Oktopus swimming pool or the other wellness offerings. Note: Sports activities and saunas are not recommended after diving. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. You'll receive the password at check-in.
