    According to SSI standards, we only offer this course as a VIP (individual course) or for groups of 3 or more people.

Every diver should take the deep diving specialty course during their diving training. Diving in the depths has always fascinated all divers. However, the deeper you dive, the greater the influence of depth on you, your equipment and your air consumption. Learn how to descend and resurface safely at depths of up to 40m. Follow the call of the depth!


Course contents:

In theory and practice, you will be introduced to the special features of deep diving and learn to understand what is happening to you and your equipment.

Course duration: 1 session of 8 hours

1 theory lesson

2 dives in open water (lake)


Theoretical training:

Learn to understand the increased water pressure and its effects on gases, how to deal with it and how to safely dive to depths of up to 40m. Detailed briefings before and after the dives will help you to apply and deepen what you have learned.


Practical training: (2 dives in diving lake)

During two deep dives you will get to know and appreciate the new diving conditions.


We carry out the open water dives in external diving waters. Depending on the diving conditions, we usually head for the Bosmolenplas/Panheel in the Netherlands (100km from Cologne). Alternatively, we drive to the Sorpetalsperre or Messinghausen. Plus an entrance fee of €15 per day for the sea base (paid on site). You will have to make your own way there. You will receive further information about the meeting point etc. after you have registered.


Including:

  • Complete quality rental equipment (including ABC equipment)
  • Certification fees
  • Brevet (diving certificate in card format by post) & eCard (digital card)


This course is part of the iac Advanced Open Water Diver.
