DEEP DIVING

Enjoy the rush of the depths!

Do you hear the call of the deep? Beyond the 20-meter mark, a magical world awaits you!

  • Infos i.a.c. Deep Diving / Tieftauchen

We offer the course according to IAC standards as part of the AWOD course. All information about the course can be found at the bottom of this page. There are no additional fees. As certification, you will receive a driver's license-sized brevet card (by mail) and a digital card (PDF) by email. There is no e-learning preparation. All content will be covered in class.

  • Info SSI Deep Diving / Deep Diving - limited availability

We can only offer this course upon request. The SSI Deep Diver requires three dives, one of which must be to a depth of 40 meters. You first complete the IAC Deep course as usual, and the final dive (to a depth of 40 meters) must be completed off-site (in deep waters or on vacation). We only offer this option occasionally, for example, on trips to Hunsfels or Messinghausen. Please feel free to contact us about this.

Every diver should take the Deep Diving Specialty course during their diving training. Diving at depths has always fascinated divers. However, the deeper you go, the greater the impact of depth on you, your equipment, and your air consumption. Learn to descend and resurface safely to depths of up to 40 meters. Follow the call of the deep!

Course content:

Learning to dive deep in local waters is a demanding course. In German lakes, the depths are always cold, and visibility is often worse than, for example, in the ocean or at our indoor diving center. Therefore, the SK Deep Diving course takes place over at least two days and involves at least three dives.

Course duration: 2 sessions of 6 hours each

Day 1: Theory & 2 dives in Fühlinger See up to 20mDay 2: Theory & 1 dive in a deeper lake deeper than 20m

Notes on the course location:

We conduct our open water dives at external diving sites. Depending on diving conditions, we usually head to Golberger See in Dormagen or Bosmolenplas/Panheel in the Netherlands (100 km from Cologne). Alternatively, we head to the Sorpe Dam or Messinghausen. There is a €15 entrance fee per day for the lake base (paid on site). You are responsible for making your own way there. You will receive further information regarding the meeting point, etc., after registration.

Including:

  • Complete rental equipment (including ABC equipment)
  • Certification fees
  • Brevet (diving certificate in card format by mail) & eCard (digital card)

This course is a required specialty of the iac Advanced Open Water Diver.

To gain more diving experience or take your skills to a higher level, you can join the D4L Club or take additional specialty courses.
