The diving season never ends with a dry suit. Discover a new feeling of warmth and freedom.
The drysuit diving specialty course is your introduction to warm and comfortable diving in mid-latitude waters. Visibility is usually very good, especially in winter or at great depths, but it's almost impossible to enjoy diving without a drysuit. Diving in a drysuit makes you independent of wind and weather and will help you enjoy your passion for diving year-round.
To participate in the course you will need your own dry suit.
Course content:
Learn more about the different types of drysuits, their care and maintenance, and learn the special features of diving with a drysuit in theory and practice.
Course duration: 1 session of 6 hours
1 theory lesson
2 dives in the indoor diving center
Theoretical training:
The theoretical training takes place in a single theory block. You'll learn everything you need to know about selecting, handling, caring for, and maintaining drysuits. During the dive briefings, we'll work with you on your skills.
Practical training: (2 dives)
In two training dives, you'll learn how to dive safely and use the drysuit. You'll quickly gain confidence and safety in diving with the drysuit.
Including:
- Complete quality rental equipment – except for the drysuit: This can be rented from our partners at BlueMarlin Cologne (€40 per day). Please contact office@bluemarlin-koeln.de to rent.
- Entrance to the indoor diving center. IMPORTANT: Please note the information regarding equipment insurance for drysuit seals. >>> INFO HERE
To gain more diving experience or take your skills to a higher level, you can join the D4L Club or take additional specialty courses.

Cuffs all-round protection
IMPORTANT NOTICE - ALL-ROUND CUFFS PROTECTION (optional) plus €19: For our drysuit courses, we provide you with very high-quality and well-maintained drysuits through our partner Tauchsport BlueMarlin Cologne. Drysuits are equipped with sealing cuffs that can tear if handled incorrectly. You will, of course, learn how to properly put on the cuffs in the theory class before your first dive. Unfortunately, it does happen from time to time that someone "quickly glances at their phone during the theory class" and ignores the instructions for properly putting on the suits. Therefore, we offer optional ALL-ROUND PROTECTION to protect against cuff tearing. We would be delighted if you handle the suits carefully despite the ALL-ROUND PROTECTION ;) ALL-ROUND PROTECTION covers the cost of a cuff tear. Without all-round protection, we unfortunately have to charge you the fees listed below for damage. ALL-ROUND PROTECTION costs: €19 per course. Cost for damage to arm cuffs: €89.
