Avoiding stress, reacting to it correctly and helping divers in distress is essential for every advanced diver.

As certification, you will receive a driver's license-sized brevet card (by mail) and a digital card (PDF) by email. There is no e-learning preparation. All content will be covered in class.

    We offer this course according to SSI standards. You can find all the course information at the bottom of this page. Additional fees: Please note that there is an additional fee of €49 for e-learning and certification for SSI courses. Certification is only available as a digital certification card in the SSI app. A driver's license-sized certification card can be ordered for a fee. Note on e-learning: The e-learning course is voluntary and serves as preparation for the course. All relevant theory content will be covered in class.

The Stress & Rescue specialty course is a course for diving rescue and safety. Learn how to anticipate and respond to risky situations, avoid dangers, and solve problems. Stress is a physical and psychological phenomenon to which you will learn how to respond appropriately. After this course, you will be able to anticipate dangers, solve problems, and rescue divers both above and below water.

Course content:

The Stress & Rescue Diver training takes place over two sessions and is taught through two theory lessons and four training dives.

Course duration: 3 sessions of approx. 8 hours.

2 theory lessons including first aid training

4 indoor dives 2 open water dives/scenarios (lake)

Theoretical training:

Recognizing and assessing stressful situations, first aid for pressure-related injuries, and administering oxygen are just some of the topics you'll learn. Detailed briefings before and after dives will help you apply and consolidate what you've learned.


Practical training: (6 dives & scenarios)

Various scenarios are carried out both underwater and above water, giving you an ideal course of action to deal with, for example, panic situations, accident situations or missing divers.


Including:

  • Complete quality rental equipment (including ABC equipment)
  • Entrance to the indoor diving center


This course is part of the Master Diver training. The IAC Stress & Rescue course can also be recognized for the SSI Master Diver certification, provided you have completed at least two SSI specialties in the AOWD.


To gain more diving experience or take your skills to a higher level, you can join the D4L Club or take additional specialty courses.
